How the State can make Ireland a leader in tackling climate change
The Resolution approving establishment of the Assembly outlines five topics to be considered by the Assembly. The topic of Climate Change was originally scheduled to be considered last. However in January 2017 the Members of the Assembly decided that this topic would be considered third. Once completed, it will produce a report and make recommendations to the Houses of the Oireachtas.

The Citizens’ Assembly invited members of the public, representative groups and citizen organisations to make a submission to the Assembly on the third topic the Assembly will consider ‘How the State can make Ireland a leader in tackling climate change’.
The submissions process formally opened on 12 June 2017 and closed at 5pm on 11 August 2017.
