The submissions the Citizens' Assembly received on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution will be listed below, in chronological order. Submissions are being published on a rolling basis.
Submissions Update 5 January: Please note that submissions are being published in date order, however electronic submissions were initially published first. Early postal submissions have now been published in chronological order and are therefore interspersed with the electronic submissions previously published. Publication of postal and electronic submissions will now continue on a rolling basis.
Submissions Update 12 January: At the Assembly's second meeting on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution, held 7-8 January, the members agreed that the publication of submissions received from advocacy groups, political parties and other interest/representative organisations should be prioritised. A list of such groups can be viewed here. To read a particular group's submission, please use the search function below.
Submissions Update 23 January: Submissions received from private individuals continue to be published online. As per the update of 12 January above, submissions received from advocacy groups, political parties and other interest/representative organisations have been published in advance, out of date order. As many of these were received on the final day of the submissions deadline, this means that they will automatically appear at the top of the listing. Please note that submissions now being published which were received before that date will appear further down the list of submissions. Newly published submissions, can be viewed from page 8 onwards.
Readers should note that submissions may contain sensitive or emotive material.
